Great news! My story, “The Serrambi Case” (published in 2011 in Zoetrope:All-Story) will be adapted as a short film by Aussie director Emily Avila. Set in the sugar cane fields of Australia, the film is called “In A Cane Field” and will be an Australian version of my murder-mystery story about two girls found dead in a Brazilian cane field. The photo is of actress Yasmin Honeychurch on one of the film’s locations. I’m so excited to see this film, and will post news regularly about its production.
